The information in this book is to give general guidance to a very valuable ministry in the church - the Helps ministry. Training is essential both scriptually and physically for the team to operate smoothly and accomplish their tasks. THis book is designed to help with that training.
1 Corinthians 12:27-28 AMP - Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function]. So God has appointed some in the church [for His own use]: first apostles (special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick; HELPERS; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues.
The word “Helps” used here does not refer to the person only but to the office or function of the ministry.
This word means “those who are anointed from on high to assist with the free flow of the Holy Spirit in a service”.
It is the purpose of the Helps Ministry to ensure that all of the functions in a service are attended to decently and in order, flowing correctly.
